It happened very suddenly. One minute I had no problem editing posts, the next I'm getting this message:

"Your edit was not accepted because 400 Bad Request: The browser (or proxy) sent a request that this server could not understand."

I don't know why this happens. Someone suggested it was a problem with my "client" but I do not know what this means because I am not tech savvy enough apparently. I tried turning off my VPN and I've tried deleting cookies and my browser cache and I'm out of ideas. It was recommended to me that I post this problem here in case it's a glitch in the system itself.

On a personal level, I am struggling not to self-harm right now for unrelated reasons, please don't be rude. I started a community to distract myself and maybe offer up a contribution to the fediverse. Please help.

Apparently half the internet is broken right now because of the PHP thing anddd the TLS cert thing, so maybe it's that? I seem to have just lost the ability to upvote or downvote, so possibly multiple things are not working in general?

Good idea for a community. Just as a note, there may be a more specific error message in the response. the "bad request: ..." stuff is just what '400' is supposed to mean, but servers can respond with any code with any message. And you bet your ass many of the fedi devs also misuse response codes.

I probably broke PieFed.

Today is pretty busy with PHP-related things but I'll check it out as soon as I can.
