The real dislike button is removing videos from your watch history - as the watch history defines what the algorithm recommends. Curate your watch history and you can have a better experience.

The dislike button is for users telling the content creator they've made a bad video. But I believe studies have shown it can leave a bad impression of the platform on the user - that's why sites get rid of negative indicators.

My watch history is turned off.

The real dislike button is using a channel blocker, or pipepipe etc

pipepipe etc seems very not likey.

I'm still to find a platform that serves the same purpose as yt, it's my last google thing.
I had some potential options open, but then didn't. Need to look yet again.

Unsure what aspect you are looking for, but maybe #Grayjay or straight-up #RSS?

Former aggregates video and audio services, and people can make their own integrations too, and even helps with discoverability if you explore the home tab. Latter fits a similar aggregation purpose purpose, though not quite on discoverability and is more manual to use.

A balance of quantity and quality I guess, browser based, and no to low ai

I've looked a few times over the years and never found anything that ticks the boxes.

I see. In such case then, from what I've observed, the ones that get the closest are Rumble and Odysse, though both still much smaller.
