As the US nuclear weapons program charges from the gates, the idea of restraint may seem far-fetched. In reality, this apparently unbounded acceleration is a choice rather than a necessity. New pit production is not yet required for the existing US nuclear arsenal, only for its expansion or replacement with new designs.

With everything else going on it is easy to forget that we are also genuinely speedrunning the nuclear war collapse arc simultaneously too.

But DOGE fired the team that manufactured the Urchins.

The USA is no longer able to maintain its existing nuclear arsenal nor build any new nuclear weapons.
