Because I work in food service I have to do the whole hair net, apron, and hat shuffle, and can't have jewelry or rings or anything like that near the fryer and assorted food prep stuff. My hair being jammed into a hairnet and under a hat also doesn't help.

I'm just annoyed that it makes me look like an androgynous employed blob. Maybe I'll see if I can do patches, I was already told no on pins. I just need to find things to wear that are food safe and aren't going to get me sucked into a spinning meat slicer blade, but that still helps customers not misgender me, ideally.

I'd like to suggest face mask as well as try to find the shop to buy your uniform shirts. Personally the woman's polo vs. "Unisex" (box cut/men's they call unisex) T-shirt makes a huge difference.
