Theme: Fougère Friday - I'm rocking the Armonía set today with Brut Prestige. All of them are marketed as fougére scents. Armonía is a tobacco fougère. It means harmony in Spanish and fougère means fern in French. I'm not sure that tobacco plants and ferns harmonize naturally but @theislandvida did her magic and made an awesome scent in a fantastic base.

Daily Challenge: Stacking Day - FTFI, "make your tower of shave gear as tall as you possibly can." Done. It was tricky to get the right angle. By the power of 31mm boar bristles, my stainless steel Superslant and the balm were safe and secure even at this altitude.

Varen has been a staple in my den since almost day 1. Maybe even day 1, as it might have been one of the first samples I bought. It's a unique scent, dankened even further by the sheep smell in the background from the mutton. This is the only soap which I've killed a tub of and then bought another tub.

  2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

Very little to say with this one. I'm getting comfortable using the Maullu pre-shave. The Gillette President is great with this Accutec blade, and the Imaginarium trifecta is so good, I was compelled to use Yardley Classic as a finish for this shave.

$FOF - Fougère Mania is Brut with a bit of neroli on top. Powdery lavender, hay, and the musk underneath are all there, but the neroli gives it a twist.

Red Letter Day had no business being here. The vanilla lined up well enough with the sweetness in the lather, so the transition felt smooth. The bergamot slowly taking over the brightening role played by the soap's neroli. Then the leather arrives and the shave stops being a fougère at all.

Heather brought the lavender and oakmoss again, but cool, anisic, and outdoorsy where Fougère Mania is warm and indoors. It’s one of my favorite Seaforth scents, I just wish it lasted longer on my skin.
