I've posted previously to the saga, and I have some updates. My prints are getting better, but still have room to grow. Thus far I have:
It's looking MUCH better, but I'm having a stringing issue which is preventing the keycap from installing. I think this is a much easier fix, and I have knobs to turn on this: |

This, everything else printed except the clicker/eraser: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7193780 Edit: I have a folder of about 100 keycap models, so I've been jumping around. |

I have found that slowing everything down by at least 50% has really improved my prints. |

I've also found that most filaments have a temp range. I use to just print whatever it said on the spool. I use a lot of Polar Filament PLA and the range is 205-225. I print my first layer at 215 and drop it to 210 for the rest. I haven't had any stringing since I did that. Also, a heat gun will get rid of strings pretty quick. I got one from harbor freight for like 14 bucks. Its a learning experience. I feel like after about a year I finally have a better handle on it. |
