This required a few Republicans to cross party lines to get them released, something they absolutely refused to do to give the Biden administration a win. So it was nowhere near Biden’s job to do anything like that. Perhaps you’re too young to remember how this is supposed to work?

It is not easy to release the files, if the man is still alive and has all the powerful friends. It was different, when he was dead. And yes, Biden was president inbetween the two terms of his former best friend Trump. Why would Trump want to release the files? He has absolutely no reason to do so. Biden, on the other hand, would have had every reason to release them ASAP. And yet, nothing happened.
