The captain is Smit Machchhar, an Indian pilot. He suffered a cracked skull. But he fought back and saved the 172 passengers on the plane.

The Israeli President's Office shared a photo of the injured Indian pilot recovering in a hospital bed. This is pure propaganda. Israel takes a non-Israeli victim from an international flight and uses his image to push its narrative.

The JNS article calls the co-pilot a terrorist and focuses on the heroism of the captain. But the article ignores the context. Israel is using this incident to justify its actions and gain sympathy. The photo is used to show Israel as the victim. But the reality is that Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza. And they will use anyone, even a wounded Indian pilot, to make themselves look good.
