I can't help but think of Undertale when I see this prompt; the word "dapper" is inextricably linked to Napstablook in my mind.

The background elements in the encounter with him in the Ruins make me think of Mondrian's paintings, so I decided to incorporate that impression into my piece for today.

Not that I have any way of proving it but I always took the background elements, even simplistic as they are, to be reminiscent of stage curtains being parted for him.
