Probably better off that it didn't go through, considering how the Halo show went (yes I know that was Paramount, but 343 approved it), and many of Netflix's recent adaptations.

The money could have been used to save many of the devs/studios cut in the recent rounds of cut backs. It'd be worth a few bad TV shows for that, IMO
