Metallica’s James Hetfield was fine with the use of their music as torture. So Chumbawamba wrote this.

Literal torture btw. E.g. in Guantanamo or Iraq.

Chumbawumba makes me happy in these difficult times.

Metallica sucks.

I couldn't figure out why they let the documentary "some kind of monster" ever be released. In it, they are shown to be the out-of-touch, soft, and pampered rich cunts that they are. They haven't released a good album since 1984. And it's probably been that long since any of them had anxiety about money.

(except what they "lost" to Napster of course. That was a painful time and I'm glad to see they made it through, somehow)

Metallica sucks

lol Chumbawamba did another song about musicians opposing Napster etc.

Though I find it less catchy than torturing James Hetfield

“MP3 Mix

The group recorded an alternate mix of the song titled the "MP3 Mix”. This version was a sound collage, critiquing and sampling without permission artists who opposed file sharing, including Metallica, Eminem, Dr. Dre, The Beatles, and Madonna.”

TBF, if I were a metal musician, I would be kinda proud if my music qualified as torture. IMO Metallica is rather weak for that, Black Vomit is much better.

But also, if I had the amounts of money that Metallica has, I would meddle in politics like there's no tomorrow.
