Officials say those voters are being sent new ballots, along with instructions on what to do next.

"When that happens, when we reissue a ballot, then the voter receives a letter from our office and it gives them their options. So, it explains why did you get this reissued ballot and then explains what to do. So, you can vote that reissued ballot. You can also vote in person on election day or during early voting," buncombe county director of election services Corinne Duncan said.

Seems like the system is working as it should. Everyone makes mistakes, and these voters are being given the proper chance to rectify them.
