Former President Barack Obama on Saturday seized on what he described as cruelty and indecency coming from President Donald Trump and his Republican allies, stepping into one of the nation’s ugliest midterm fights as he worked to rally Democratic voters in two Midwestern battlegrounds. First in Ohio, Obama took aim at Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who has doubled down on an advertising campaign featuring the estranged mother of Democratic rival Dr. Amy Acton. Trump and Vice President JD Vance have also defended the ad, even as Republican leaders across Ohio, including Gov. Mike DeWine, have called for its removal. |

I understand that both Obama and Clinton deported more people from the US.. but the way they did it may support the argument that Trump’s method was more about the display of terror and meeting his bases expectation to meet his campaign promise of hurting the other people. |

Yeah you just need to look at how many legal residents, American born citizens were detained, deported, and how many people were killed during each administration to confirm your suspicion. |

Cruelty was always the point. MAGA won't admit it, but they didn't vote for their own prosperity at the price of others' - they purely voted to make things worse for "the enemy". |

At the cost of their own prosperity, as they are slowly figuring out. |

So you're saying they both did horrible things but one party did it in a way that gets their team to vote for them and the other party did it in a different way that was designed to get their team to vote for them? Not really beating that Blue MAGA accusation |

The same Obama who kindly and decently bombed thousands of civilians and oversaw the expansion of a security apparatus conducting warrantless searches on every American? WHAT A GOOD MAN! |

Yeh, that guy...and all the others as well. I think we all know that the US has been doing this for a long long time. Thats one of the reasons why we're seeing a movement away from centrism. |

I don't like Obama, but I'm fine with the Liberal Whisperer using his power to push from the back and not trying to lead from the front, so to speak. |

Well supporting immigration limits and rule of law is kinda a good thing, no? 'How' matters a lot here. |

LOL, "rule of law". Are you honestly saying that without even a shred of awareness? The rule of law is a euphemism for murdering the poor. Immigration limits are needed because the Western world has been totally destroying the homes and lives of the global majority for 600 years. |
