They paid him to keep bodies in jail...

This is him doing it.

It's about money, not ethics.

I'm sorry what? In California alone? How many people are in the death row?
I'm French. Asked to venture a guess, I might have said 50 to 100. I know decades pass between sentence and execution, but still... Do they hand out death sentences like candy? Or did I just eat the Onion?

In the last 50 years, Cali has executed 13 people. Most recently 20 years ago.

Judges still sentence people to death, it just rarely if ever happens. So absolute shit ton "pending" that will never happen.

Trivia:

The last three were when Arnold "the terminator" Schwarzenegger was Governor...

So they die in jail from natural causes? After a life spent waiting for the chair (or however the fuck they're killed)? The sentence is just for show? I'm lost.
That's so, so fucked up.

I’m lost.

Because you're trying to learn about a very complicated issue thru social media comments instead of researching what you're curious about...

And while you are using question marks, you're not really asking questions. You're just making assumptions and framing them as rhetorical questions.

You might not understand why you don't learn about these things that interest you, but I definitely understand why no one's taken the time to explain it.

There’s about 20-40 death sentences per year in the state, but they rarely get carried out. This was the accumulation of many decades worth of death sentences.
