I stayed in a hotel that had a concrete balcony on the third floor and my dog ran up to it to jump over the edge. I caught him mid air. Dogs think small barriers are fences with more ground on the other side.

The bigger question is why people walk their dogs without a leash there.

I'll just leave this here because I just read Nicholas Fisk - on the flip side, which involves animals seeing things that humans can't and it is brilliant short sci-fi. Super creepy like this bridge.
