Clearly, the convention organizers and speakers were expecting something much different than this. To be honest, so were we, because it’s 2026, Donald Trump is president again, and this is the 23rd quadrennial convention of the International Union of Police Associations, IUPA, which represents tens of thousands of cops and departments from coast to coast.
The convention was billed as the premier gathering for law enforcement leadership, an event that you don’t want to miss.
But it’s absolutely dead here. Even the speakers and attendees don’t want to be here. In fact, they won’t shut up about it.
