To people who were not game designers, like painters & such.

Nintendo has been suing people who reverse engineer the games. Everyone loves specific games but don't want to keep all the consoles or whatever the reasons might be...like having no money or wanting to test or whatever. Maybe even nostalgia. Why go mess with the fan base that makes the fanbase bigger? It doesn't help in lowering the price or increasing afordability.

What about Miyamoto? Isn't he the king of "no, this isn't how you're meant to play the game", and saying Mario doesn't need a story and stuff? He's probably on the side of emulators bad.
