This is an intriguing possibility, however the republicans have one big problem with this. Their voters are slavishly loyal to trump, not his followers. Any betrayal of their king, and they will turn on the betrayer. Also vance has no chance of winning an election by himself. The man has negative charisma.

By all means it's suicide for him if he does it. But entertaining still. I do wonder what will happen, because at some point MAGA will lose Trump, and what then? Are they going to pretend it's not going to happen until then? If they just implode all the better for the rest of the world, but I doubt they just go away, and they'll need a new mascot, I mean, leader.
