Middle Jutland for decades had no issues using Libreoffice.

Skill issue to the rest of the country. Let it rot apart.

Microsoft has all these problems, and five more. It's just that the users are accustomed to Microsoft's issues and not willing to change.

I had so many issues with Microsoft's software whenever I'm forced to use it, that it's almost unbelievable how someone can use that shit without permanently hitting their head into the wall.

They just need to wait a few more months for GridCraft and WordCraft to gain feature parity

Sounds to me like they should have done one of those group testing situations or focus groups and watched how people really used their devices. They might have been downloading the file, editing, reuploading. Or copy-pasting from MS Office.

From here:

Denmark has ended a pilot that put the open-source-oriented Collabora office suite in the hands of 38 employees at the ministry responsible for digitalization.

The experience of 38 people! Wow.

No official evaluation comparing Collabora’s performance with Microsoft Office was completed. Reports emerging late last year had already pointed to interoperability issues: documents could display blank pages or lose formatting when opened between the two office suites.

So, stop using OOXML.

Yeah but they are used to those issues so they don't count!

ended a pilot

That's what a pilot project is. A small-scale test prior to any larger effort.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilot_experiment

A pilot experiment (also known as pilot study, pilot test, or pilot project) is a small-scale preliminary study conducted to evaluate feasibility, duration, cost, adverse events, and improve upon the study design prior to performance of a full-scale research project.[1]

The experience of 38 people! Wow.

That's also why they don't have a huge number of people involved.
