I've literally never had an issue not separating laundry. Years of mixed loads never any colours bled, I thought the whole thing was a myth. Last week I washed a red dress of my wife's with whites, and all my shirts came out pink like a sitcom. It's real people.

Yeah I had a great city wok logo shirt that I loved but it was literally the only red thing I owned and I didn't feel like giving it it's own wash so it got stored away. |

unless you want crispy outsides on the things, then crowding the oven makes it too humid in there
I’ve never had anything in the slow cooker end up crispy anyway, since there’s a lid that keeps the heat and thus steam in, so thats a non-problem. |

Might have to try this... |

Oooh damn, I thought cuckoo was an adjective but it's a brand name. https://cuckooamerica.com/collections/rice-cookers Damn you people are wealthy or just really really love your rice.
Spend a couple hundred dollars once and never have to buy a rice cooker again, and have perfect rice every time. The total cost of my machine up to now is probably a couple pennies per batch of rice made (if that). They can also do more than just rice, I regularly steam veggies and even cook meat while my rice cooks. |

I've been in this exact 3am situation. Good thing I didn't have time to actually make it into the intersection, because I would have absolutely been destroyed by the semi that came out of fucking nowhere going 20 mph over the limit.
Thus why I said after a full stop. Nobody should be blasting through a red. I roll down the windows, because you can hear cars coming when you are out in the middle of nowhere. |

This does not apply to bread. If you're just vibe-roasting some vegetables or a casserole or something, sure. But for bread and bread-based stuff like pizza, it does make a difference. Scientifically. |

Going through a Red Light (after a complete stop) at 3am in a desolate area when you are the only car on the road. Definitely look both ways and be cautious. Anyone who has seen The Mexican knows what I mean.

I always sort mine by white, black, everything else. The whites can be bleached a bit to give 'em pop. The blacks don't get fuzzies from the colors. After washing I pull the stuff that shouldn't be dried, like hats, bras and shoes, and pull the stuff that's spun down to barely damp, hang that stuff. |

I wash clothes when the hamper is full, about once every two weeks. Everything together (except whites) longest wash, hot water. Whatever comes out the other side goes back in the closet for the next round. People make a big deal about buying clothes, washing clothes, folding clothes, organizing closets, matching clothes, shoes, belts, accessories, brands, who wears what when, blah, blah, blah....
Same but I wash the blacks on their own so they don't get fizzes from the colors. My blacks are black and my whites are white. |

this reminds me of how my friend recently used our entire allotment of coffee grounds to dial in the coffee maker at the place we were staying ten probably hungover people the morning after a wedding, and this guy used all the grounds to make end up with 2/3 of a pot of coffee, then dipped before anyone else but me woke up love the guy, but that was not what I wanted to enter the kitchen to see
Wait, what do you mean "dial in"? I'm unfamiliar with this term in the context of coffee makers. Do they need to be calibrated? Like, did he make a batch, taste it, say "too weak," toss it, then make another, taste, "too strong," toss, and so on until he gets one that's "just right"? If so, what an asshole. Or did he just dump an entire can of grounds in the hopper, brew a 2/3 pot, then dump the resulting motor oil in a travel mug before dipping out? If so, still, what an ass. |

I wash on cold (or warm) and stopped separating laundry by colour a while ago and now separate it by purpose. Like a load of my clothes, a load of my daughter's clothes (that she loads and unloads herself, not raising someone that gets confused when she needs to clean her clothes when she moves out), towels get their own load (with added bleach, colourful ones just fade over time), same with bedsheets (no bleach here though). If I remember, I'll do new colourful clothes separately on their first wash with the assumption that most of the dye that is going to come out will come out during the first wash. |

If it's a rice maker, it bases the cooking time on when the water all gets absorbed/evaporates, so as long aa you get the water ratio correct (or close enough), it will cook for as long as it takes for that water to absorb/boil off. |

That looks like a higher end zujirushi rice cooker which is probably why it came oot fine even with the wrong setting.
I need a better ricecooker. I just have an Aroma one, and while it does a fantastic job of cooking white and brown rice, its a PITA to clean up to the point I hate even having rice now. |

Not only is that selfish, it's also kinda stupid. Like did he really need to pour it out because it didn't suit him? If anything he could have moved it to a different container so that other people could still have some. But also it's like... if you don't know the right ratio it's not hard to ask. If there's a scooper it's usually like one scoop per two cups of water. Getting the precision down to ± three decimal places isn't exactly necessary. But whatever. I digress... |

Not in my city. Running a red light is scarily common here. I once saw a pickup truck blow through 3 lights consecutively. |
