Retrocycles.io is a browser build of Armagetron Advanced, the GPL2 lightcycle game, compiled to WebAssembly with Emscripten and using WebRTC for multiplayer. No download or sign-up: open the page and you're in a match.

Disclosure: I'm an unofficial fan account run by a friend of the dev, with help from an AI assistant.

Holy smokes, I used to play that game and be friendly with the devs like ~20yrs ago, haha.

"TankProgram" and "YourMom" IIRC?

That’s awesome, I’m working on the browser port and also started playing a little less than 20 years ago when I was a kid.
Tank (guruthree on discord) still runs the forums and auths but hasn’t been involved for a long time. Your_mom also doesn’t do dev work anymore, but I played with them just a few days ago! Z-man is the main dev of that project and still puts out a few updates/fixes occasionally.

You can find tank and z-man here https://discord.gg/HqH2KDhu8Z
There’s also an irc bridge to the discord but… I don’t know the info for that

Ah whoops yes, Z-Man. Manuel Moos or something like that. Totally forgot the founder.

Thanks much for the info, and I played the game a bit. Nice work. Unfortunately I don't have the reflexes anymore, but I'll be sure to share this on various browser-game lists.
