I bought a cheap mini-PC board at a street market. The seller said, without confidence, that he was told it’s an “Intel Nano”. But he had a stack of different boards so it’s dodgy info for sure. When I do an image search for “Intel Nano”, nothing quite matches.

I would normally run it and probe for the hardware, but I don’t know how to power it. It looks like there are two pins in a green box that probably need DC power.. likely 12v but I would rather not guess.

Any help identifying this thing would be appreciated!

frontside
backside

The “1820” possibly corresponds to “G1820 Celeron”, but that’s a far cry from identifying the model of mini PC.

Closest I found model number wise is the Kontron / ECX-SLUO. I'm guessing the board you bought is old and belongs to a much older variant of that series. If you take the heatsink off you should be able to see the CPU model.

It seems like an industrial control device, that green port is probably for power.

Oh wow spitting image of the that top photo, yeah I think you've got it.

Edit: It says it's a Kontron product, but I cannot find it in their product page

I’m impressed! Good find. Now I just need to find out the polarity and voltage.

Yeah indeed that is the next problem. Some docs would be nice but what I need most is the polarity and voltage. From there I can tinker.

Found this on another model:

There is one 2-pin power connector on the top side supporting an input DC voltage range of 24 V DC ±20 %, see
Figure 4 (pos. 1). The mating connector required to connect the power connector to a DC main power source is
supplied with the BL i.MX6 ULL. For information on how to connect the supplied mating connector to the input
power connector, refer to Chapter 6.2.1: Wiring the DC Mating Power Connector.
For the pin assignment of the input power connector, refer to Chapter 3.2.1: Power Connector.

Maybe I’ll start at 12 then try 24v.

I never really understand what the problem is with undervolting a device, I've heard people worried about brownouts, but... that just means the electronics defaults to the "false / 0" branches in its startup circuity (by my limited understanding)
