I am what, 5 months into taking this instrument seriously? Practicing daily. Today’s practice session went pretty well. Hit the notes that are high for me relatively smoothly. (High notes are not the be-all end-all, but I would like to at least have the ones I’m asked to hit frequently in the pieces I’m playing down confidently. I do need some amount of range!) I’m proud of myself for that!

Congratulations! Learning trumpet is no small feat. I've been learning a bit on a free trumpet I got and it is really hard to play any high notes (especially with any kind of good tone).

Great job keeping up the daily habit. I bet you sound way better than you did 5 months ago!
