The NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation announced Monday night that Jay-Z will be the featured performer for the halftime festivities on Feb. 14 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Has jay-z been relevant this decade?

His last good release was The Black Album
...in the 2000s. Everything he's made since has been pretty shit. We should have known it was the end of an era when he bought that sports team not long after. So musically, he hasn't been relevant for TWO decades.

One could argue he's still relevant in the way any billionaire is because he a lot of power and sway in the industry...but who really wants to see a halftime show from the husband of one of the most successful musical artists of all time?

Sorry for the rant, I'm a bitter ex-fan.

Counter-move: I'm picking myself to headline the superbowl halftime show.
