Hey! I've been working on a little multiplayer space game called Scrapix, and it's finally playable -> https://scrapix.fun/

It runs right in the browser, so there's nothing to install and no sign-up.

20 ships start out as the same tiny junk boat. You blast asteroids, shoot pieces off other players, grab their parts, and bolt them onto your own ship in the middle of the fight. By the end, people are flying some pretty weird creations. Last one alive wins.

It's still early, and I'd really like to know what you think. What was fun, what was annoying, and whether anything broke? Every comment helps.

Layout is borked on mobile so can't try it. Are people still using desktop pcs like its 1999?

Hi, yep.

Unfortunately, game is not suitable for mobile (as for how I see it now).

  • Automatic fullscreen when I click with the mouse, it's pretty annoying.
  • I have to put my mouse near the top of the screen (near the nickname) to click on Battle, lower to click on Take the tutorial, and lower (around the middle of the height) to click on Later.
  • Also the buttons' clickable areas are "invisible", at the left of the actual buttons (so, left top, left lower, and left middle).

Hi, thanks for that feedback, those are definitely bugs and must be fixed, but for some reason on my Linux system on both Chromium and Firefox I can't reproduce those problems... Could you share what OS and what browser are you using? I will try to replicate your setup and fix those problems. Thank you

I'm using LibreWolf (v158) on "Linux Mint 22.3 - Cinnamon 64-bit."

When I go to the Garage, everything is huge and I can only see a few elements.

In the main menu, when the web inspector is opened, I cannot click on the buttons anymore.

When I try the Battle, I see the error:

[Error] Uncaught (in promise)
WebTransportError { source: "session", streamErrorCode: null, name: "WebTransportError", message: "WebTransport connection rejected", code: 0, result: 0, filename: "", lineNumber: 0, columnNumber: 0, data: null }

Absolutely! Phone screens don't show enough info at once, usually. It's far more comfortable to use a keyboard and mouse as well
