The RCMP have clarified their investigation into CorruptCare to include potential fraud, breach of trust, and money laundering. In other words, there are indications that the whistleblower, former CEO Mentzelopoulos' termination, her subsequent wrongful dismissal claim, and the disclosures that followed, have led to the RCMP identifying criminal charges. Put in another way, there's signs that the parties involved in those procurement contracts did not intend to follow through with the product or services as discussed. Those monies were, in turn, intended for some other activity.

Yet Albertans still have to stomach the idea that the UCP leadership, including Danielle Smith, are sitting so close to the allegations that they literally should have been able to smell and taste what's going on. The same UCP leadership that just sank over $100M to roil Canada with a separation referendum to try and cover up the fires they started themselves.

In a letter sent Oct. 15, Ontario Crown prosecutor Tom Andreopoulos writes that the ongoing RCMP investigation is looking into fraud, breach of trust, and money laundering related to contracting at Alberta Health, the government ministry, and Alberta Health Services, the health-care provider.

He doesn’t offer specifics or identify a subject in the investigation.
