Because it gets spammy. This is the third time you've shared this exact photo with a link to your Etsy, and I saw all your other identical posts as well. If other people start doing it too then Lemmy just becomes Etsy spam.

I get it, I used to have an Etsy store and marketing is hard. But I hate being advertised at.

You said you keep getting banned on Reddit and didn't know why, I was just explaining to you why. That what you're doing is spam. It's just an ad disguised as a regular post. Being a small business doesn't give you a pass. Lemmy isn't that active, if you keep reposting it's going to be noticeable.

Feel free to post your art, but you don't have to include the Etsy link if it's actually about the art, and you could try posting something new instead of the same thing over and over again.

Also publicly posting art is inviting criticism and opinions. Not that I critiqued your art, or said anything about it really. Just that your posts are ads/spam.

It's literally just your soap on a plain white background. I thought the first one was pretty, then I saw it again and noticed your Etsy link. Then I saw it a third time. And now it's happened again, for the third time with this post. It's spam.

Op was wondering why their Reddit accounts were getting banned, and spamming ads disguised as posts in different subreddits is a quick way to do it. That's all I said. It gets spammy when you post the same thing multiple times.

In your case I actually disagree with the people telling you your music video doesn't belong in art share, it's both art and higher effort than a lot of the posts in art share. But someone called you out for spamming it in multiple communities, so that's why I mentioned it here too 🤷‍♂️

I'm also a soap artist. You keep sharing your work, so I wanted to share some of mine. No for sale link. I just wanted people to see my art.

All my molds are custom, everything is handmade with a lot of thought. I specialize in video game themed soap. I do cold process and glycerine imbeds.

The last one im particularly proud of as the cat will shift positions as you use more of the soap. Its something I thought of myself and thoroughly enjoy.
