If they're saying that sincerely, I'd call them friends, not food.

Infact, seeing that "...oh!" moment when the lightbulb finally turns on is a thing of absolute beauty. It's not easy to shake off decades of propaganda.

Even if they’re saying it to save face (or whatever) it’s a micro step in the right direction.
