Eastern Water Dragon from today's walk

Got the proper camera out since my last post and snapped this one today. Close up shot as well.

I've got a bunch more which I'll post another time.

Where the heck are you where you find these on a walk?

Also, this kind of looks like an iguana, will it try to murder you with its tail like an iguana? I still remember we had this bastard iguana when I was like nine, (rip Iggy) I loved him but he was a bastard. I don't know how many times I got tail whipped by that son of a bitch. It seems like they can have a bit of a mean streak sometimes.

Anyway, super cool picture and super cool to run across some wildlife like that.

Nah, these guys bolt, usually into the nearest body of water, at the first sign of trouble. I walk around a local creek and see about a dozen of them.

This is the biggest one I've seen in a couple of days. Maybe about a metre long including the tail.
