Welcome! Orcas Enjoying Yachts is an inclusive and friendly community. Below are some simple rules and guidelines:

Be Respectful

• Treat others with kindness, empathy, and respect.
• Avoid personal attacks, harassment, or any form of hate speech.
• Engage in constructive discussions and be open to diverse perspectives.
• Any sort of hate will not be tolerated. Fascists and righties trying to sell their snake oil need not apply. Neolibs can find a different forum.
• No gatekeeping - Making fun of someone's hobbies, house, job, etc will earn you an instaban.

No Spam or Self-Promotion

• Refrain from posting unrelated advertisements, promotional content, or spam.
• Self-promotion should be relevant and limited to appropriate channels designated by the community.

Protect Privacy and Confidentiality

• Respect the privacy of others and avoid sharing personal information without explicit consent.
• Refrain from sharing confidential or sensitive information that could harm someone

Report Violations

• If you encounter any violations of the community rules or witness inappropriate behavior, please report them to the moderators for review.
• Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment by actively participating in the moderation process.

Orcas Enjoying Yachts is an unapologetically leftist community. If you’re among the working class struggling to comprehend the dark abyss the rulers that be are dragging us all into, this is a community for you.

In the wake of… everything (and more recently, the Reddit exodus and consequent death of my beloved Apollo 💔), this Lemmy community serves as my tiny contribution to an internet a lot of us love and miss so dearly. This is for those that miss forums, organic discussion, memes, and an internet that was not yet tainted by capitalist greed and gatekeeping.

Post memes, post rants, post agitprop and art, post what makes you tick. Be kind to one another.
