“When the wind's against you, remember this insight. That's the optimal condition for birds to take flight. Now the wind's against you, don't give up the fight.”

It’s a Shikari night, boiiis! After Common Dreads we play The Spark.

I was introduced to ES around the time this album came out so I have very fond memories of it ❤️

I revisited ES after seeing your posts.

Curious to hear what you thought of nothing is true and everything is possible.

I love NITAEIP! But of course I’m a sucker for anything Enter Shikari.
That one stands out for the inclusion of an orchestra and classic compositions throughout. And then on the other end you get the floppy gloves in TINA 🤣🤣🤣
They asked Rou how much juxtaposition he needed on that album and he screamed: YYYEEEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

Now I i feel bad, because I really struggled with this album.

I liked The Great Unknown and Dreamers Hotel, but the rest I couldn't get in to.

But I guess this is what makes conversation about music interesting. Everyone has different tastes.

I have The Spark on CD coming soon. Hoping this will fare better.

You know what they say: opinions are like anusses, everybody has one.

NITAEIP for me was therapy during Covid but I can understand why it’s not your favorite.

The Spark is a fantastic album. Less chaotic and more poppy than their earlier work. And of course the introduction of Sparky! I even have a Sparky tattoo 😁

I think because I'd only ever listened to the Mindsweep, I went in expecting a metal album, which NIT isn't. Ah well.
