At the moment, only admins can create new communities. I made it so because I wanted to avoid having communick members who are not well-aware about how the fediverse works and end up creating communities that duplicate others who are already available on other servers. For those cases, it will be better if we join the remote instances instead of fragmenting the conversation among different places. With that said, is there any topic/theme/interest/hobby you have but haven't found a place yet on the threadiverse? Is there some niche subreddit you participate but would like to migrate to Lemmy? |
