Introducing Paphiopedilum Belgian Sunshine I pollinated a Paphiopedilum Maudiae in January 2021 with pollen from Paphiopedilum Ma Folie. In August, I cut off a fruit. In September, I sent the fruit to The Orchids Lab for seeding, received it back in August 2022, and potted it. In October 2024, I discovered three flower buds. and in November 2024 they opened, allowing me to register it as a new hybrid, and gave it the name Paphiopedilum Belgian Sunshine. I named it after the rare meteorological condition that allowed the specimens to flower in such a short time. More information about the new hybrid: Royal Horticultural Society – |
