I just finished The Last Dragonslayer series by Jasper Fforde. The internal logic was sometimes a bit lacking but the fun and interesting ideas were not, and that's just as good 😁 I was a little disapointed in the fantasy writer whose best idea for the big bad was galactic domination 😂 @bookstodon @books @worldbuilding @humor@fedigroups.social @humor@lemmy.world @aiop#SpeculativeFiction #FantasyBooks#Fantasy #FantasyBooks#Book #Books #Novel #Bookstodon #Bookwyrm #BookLove #Review #Bookreview#BookRecommendation |

@NickEast_IndieWriter @bookstodon @books @worldbuilding @humor@fedigroups.social @humor@lemmy.world @aiop IMO "The Last Dragonslayer" has more logic than the Thursday Next series, though I felt the last book was weakest.I think the last Thursday Next book is in progress. I've enjoyed him more than J. R. (fake K) or G R R (read his Short story collection & liked it, & then read 1st Book in " A Song of Ice and Fire" before the adaptation & hated it). |

My favourite Fforde is Early Riser. It's such an original idea, and you don't get sick of the constant clever jokes like with Thursday Next. |

@starlinguk Thanks, not seen that.Added to my wish lists to watch ebook price.Previously all my Fforde books are on paper, but now I only buy novels as ebooks (taking care to have real backups).Currently £4.99 or £4.80 |
