This poll makes it a statistical dead heat between Greens, Labour and Reform, despite the headline claim. EDIT: This poll can't tell you which of Greens or Labour is the best 'stop Reform' vote, but it does tell you that it's one of those two and so you should not vote for anyone else. Flip a coin if you have to! |

What a mad system where a party that a majority of the electorate DON'T want will potentially win the seat! |

Yeah, I've often felt it could be improved if we had one FOR vote and one AGAINST vote. But anything other than FPTP would be better! |

I'm convinced that at this point the British are just too embarrassed to change their voting system. |

Constituency elections in the UK are incredibly unfair and among the least representative in Europe. |

It serves the powers that be well, keeps the wildest of democratic impulses in check, and the tabloids have trained the British public to resent the kinds of people who object to iniquity more than the iniquity itself. |

Good I see Goodwin on TV far too much already. He a smug self satisfied git and he'll do his job just as well as Farage. No one should be voting for these snake oil salesmen even if they are a racist. |

Seems like this poll can tell you which is the best 'stop Reform' vote OP. |

The poll suggests that tactical voting could easily swing the contest, with anti-Reform voters significantly more likely to switch to the Greens than to Labour. Seems like this poll can tell you which is the best 'stop Reform' vote OP.
Like the headline, that claim is inaccurate editorialising by the author. The margin of error makes it impossible to make such a statement definitively. It's quite possible that Labour is 'actually' ahead of Reform, with the Greens in 3rd. Someone reading this claim and concluding they should therefore vote Green (and not Labour, as they were previously leaning) might thereby help hand the victory to Reform. That said, I absolutely wouldn't blame anyone for taking this as a reason to vote Green to stop Reform. It's just that the evidence you should vote Labour for the same reason is exactly as good. |

I can't actually imagine his family are very pleased with him either. He used to have a respectable job as an academic and now he's become a racist mouthpiece. What a waste of an education. |

Good explanation. Maybe people should just vote for the party they think best represents their views then? How novel. |

I'm normally very opposed to tactical voting for this very reason (people should vote for who they want!) but I will make an exception to defeat fascism. |
