Ford Motor Company recalled 412,774 2017-2019 Explorer vehicles because a fracture in the rear toe link suspension may result in a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Since it's not listed in the article.

Additionally there's a hybrid battery recall.

The recalled vehicles include 17,345 2023-2025 Ford Escape plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and 7,345 2023-2026 Lincoln Corsair plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, per the announcement.

In my cars, the steering was physically connected to the wheel. You could lose the power steering, and have to muscle it, but there is no way for hackers, or a software glitch, to make the steering wheel not turn the wheels when it's turned.

It's reckless to build it so it's just connected by electrical signals and software, not even hard wired in so it can't be overridden? It's suspect they would want to set it up like that not just reckless.
