The US is pressuring my country, Italy, to expel hundreds of medics from Cuba who hold together the entire healthcare system. Without them hospitals would collapse. The US wants people to die.

Define "okay". By my definition, they haven't been doing ok since the cold war as they've been bullied non-stop since then. It may be on the news again now, but it never stopped.

Hyperinflation and devaluation of currency, shortages of everything including medicine, food and fuel, millions homeless and starving. While previous sanctions stunted their development, the US blockade is flirting with genocide in Cuba now.

There's no threshold for capitulation as far as I can see, so where does it end? Failed state condition, government collapse, mass starvation, mass death?
