Sir Christopher Lee was descended from Charlemagne more closely than most, but the British Royal family is just a branch of the Von Hohenzollerns having renamed themselves after due to political reasons. Also I was using the term Saxon as a reference to southern England which was settle by the Saxon tribes while northern England was settled largely by the Anglo tribes.

I think it's particularly hilarious that for all the talk of tradition, the house of "Windsor" was a name chosen during WWI, barely more than a century ago.
