Charlie Brown sits in a chair and looks up to Violet, who is standing nearby holding her chair. She says, "And then I dreamed I was climbing a stairway..."

She sits down and makes a jerking motion with her hands. She continues, "But suddenly I began to fall..." Charlie Brown looks at the reader and says, "I can't stand people who tell me their dreams!"

She continues, "And then, before I knew it, I was in this garden..." He continues talking to the reader, "Why do they always have to go into detail?"

She asks, "Do you suppose all that means anything, Charlie Brown?" He walks off saying, "Absolutely! It means you were asleep!"
