"Lingao, Hainan: Villagers Respond to Violent Suppression After Official's Downfall (February 1, 2026)" On February 1, 2026, a fierce clash erupted between police and villagers in Daya Village, Lingao County, Hainan Province. Just as villagers were celebrating the downfall of an official, a new round of violence resulted in several villagers being injured and hospitalized.
