That downtime was me upgrading us to the latest Piefed 1.6.

Changes here - https://piefed.ca/c/piefed_meta/p/492713/piefed-1-6-is-released-pronouns-private-communities-quote-posts-and-much-more

Enjoy!

Edit: There appear to be a few bugs, including when you reply to a comment nothing happens but the comment is added successfully. Working on fixing!

Edit2: Issues should be all sorted now, our postgres db was encoded as ascii instead of utf8. I had to do a quick dump + restore into a new database to resolve. Let me know if you see any bugs!

Oops the outage was 15 minutes longer than I expected because I missed reloading haproxy after disabling the maintenance page, and my IP is whitelisted so I didn't notice. Sorry about that!

Thanks!!

I've been trying to add pronouns to my profile but whenever I click 'Save Profile' I get "An unexpected error has occurred". I edited my profile right before the update and it worked fine.

Yeah I'm getting that too....

Can you try it again now? i gave things another restart and it seems ok now. Wondering if maybe our two servers were a little out of sync somehow

Test

Test2

Yep! Works perfectly now!

Thanks!

Aye, we're back. Thanks for the update.

The pronoun thing is pretty cool. Super convenient!

❤️ thanks for all of your amazing work on the instance!

Thanks, Shadow and Fedecan!
