There's no UMD disks in the picture for that PSP. So you've only got the one game thats in the unit.

Or it's modded and has every Nintendo game known to man installed.

I used to backup my UMDs to my MemoryStick SD adapter. Got way better battery life and faster load times. Also could overclock with the custom FW.

Never had a Sidekick despite working for T-Mobile when they were popular. I got the Pocket PC, which had a similar layout.

The PSP memory (memory stick pro duo) wasn't as expensive as vita's because they were the same as the camera's and some other devices

There is a carry case there, so they could be in that. But you only need lumines anyways.

I still have 2 of these.

Bought a new battery for my PSP after getting it back from my parents' place, I moved to another country and left it behind originally. I also rescued my original PlayStation.

Found my iPod Nano and it needs a new battery unfortunately.

Good luck with the nano. The batteries are a pain to get out after they've swelled up.

I had a look at the process and I don't think I will even attempt it.

I might be able to get it replaced at a store though, but it will be costly.

I would need to find exact sources for it, but I believe PSP was the most hacked/modded console in history, to the point where Sony themselves actually mentioned it being an issue and hurting their bottom line (and possibly part of why their efforts with the Vita were short-lived).
Either way, chances are it had games aplenty, videos, movies, mangas and whatever else you could fit on there. I know that's what I kept on mine, it was pretty much my "smartphone" back then.

we didn't know it at the time, bot upon the release of android 7.1, nougat, we had reached the pinnacle of the technology. everything since then has either been deck chair re-arranging or the slow removal of features we once liked only to have them re-introduced 1-3 years later as a new feature. the most insulting is how completely useless google assistant became in 2020 only to now have features we had in 2014 sold to us as innovation and proof that gemini isn't a total waste of ram.

i can't speak on when iphone users hit this pinnacle, i never could figure ios out. completely unintuitive os tbh, despite what its adherents will tell you. it's mostly only intuitive if you have prior experience with apple products

It was until the Wii! Way cooler scene though imo. "Smartphone before smartphones" is a great way to put it, I knew a guy who had his set up for navigation with an external gps antenna/car charger dock

Look into jailbreaking the PSP if you're up for that and it's something you might enjoy. The process is very straightforward and works with every model. All you need is a sufficiently-sized micro SD, a memory card adapter, and a PC to download some files. Opens up lots of possibilities for emulation, for example

Perfectly succinct. I cannot put into words how much I hate this, at this point I am entirely fed-up with Android because of this shit.
Nothing more infuriating than reading what changed on a new version and realizing all they did was move a bunch of shit around and introduce useless """ features""" meanwhile actually useful features for the rest of us who want to use our phones as more than a toy languish on and on (Floating Windows? Multitasking that doesn't suck ass? Desktop mode?)

Reading the update log on new Android versions has been giving me brain damage since Android 9

Already done ;)

I did it a long time ago, maybe a few years after I got it back when the battery needed to be a specific one in order to work.

I updated the custom firmware when I brought it with me last year and also got a much larger memory stick.

They come in all shapes and sizes and apart from playing games, you can also use them as MP3 players.

Motorola user here. My camera works just fine. Very well, in fact. I'm not a professional photographer so I don't need a 5,000 megapixel camera.

The Vita was so insanely underrated. Having a Vita makes it a hacked PSP, too. The only use for having a PSP after that is for better buttons for DJMP.

You have to look closer between all the pseudpo-phones, to find a "mere" music player you can use blind.

I think you're wrong. They stopped innovating with Kitkat (4.4). And btw, the whole mobile GUI evolution is stolen from custom ROMs.

my initial plan was to say the smartphone peaked much earlier, but i decided to say the last good release was as late as i could, in good conscience. i wanted avoid any potential sensationalism in my already somewhat sensationalist thesis (one that i do actually believe it, but i know i could come across sensational)

so i threw myself, a tech-y, but somewhat unprincipled until 2023 about specifics, person. when was the last time i found my phone useful and not burdensome? 2019. when was the last time i remember feeling like my phone was improving? 2017

Nah, it was Xposed hacks. Samsung preferred to make boot animations proprietary instead, so you had to buy their tool.

It matters on a utility basis. 21-30+MP is the area of deminishing returns, even on full-frame.

I wouldn't shoot less than 16.

Shut up, in those times backstreet boys played their same 2 songs everywhere on earth. Elevators, car radios, Disney channel, porn hub, rotten.com, grocery stores.

We were enslaved..Just like the backstreet boys.
