There's a nonzero chance that the replacement for Khamenei, IF he is dead, will end up being an improvement, due to the pre-existing unrest in the country. But it sure as shit won't be because any of this fucking shit was a good idea on the part of Israel or the USA, nor will it be an ideal fucking solution because now any replacement of the Islamic Republic will be widely perceived as (and considering the Trump administration and Israel, very likely actually be ) a puppet administration.

More likely, for that matter, is that an outside attack rallies Iranians around the shitty government they were just protesting, the way Americans rallied around our shitty government after 9/11. The shitty government may kill you in a year's time; the outside attack will kill you today.

Don't worry, Trump and Bibi will bravely feed Iranian civilians and American servicecritters into the meat grinder until their respective criminal investigations stop.

I'd bet that even Iranians that hated Khomeini the most will rally around the government in resistance to the US.
