Chinese pirated copies in internet cafe for shady activities: usually Valve fixed this data in the coming days/hours. But I think it's nice to have a snapshot: a sudden motion of 30% would technically mean a sudden switch of millions of customers (or a bunch bot machines well placed) |

The bots would make sense, too, a Chinese cyberattack last year took Steam and other online publishers down for a couple of hours using a compromised router botnet. |

I really hope Steam suits don't see data like this and think they need to cater to the needs of the CCP. |

Valve operates a very "flat" hierarchy, with no middle managers. They've always followed a policy of following the laws of the countries they operate in, and in that way you could expect them to bow to the CCP, but only in China. |

Didn't support for Windows 10 has ended on October 14, 2025? How is it, that W10 grows so much? |

It objectively better than window 11, so I'm not at all surprised people don't want to switch. That, or they locked themselves down with some odd dependency. |
