It's an insane violation of privacy to use AI-assisted traffic cameras to scan for seatbelt usage.

I don’t have a problem with Automated systems detecting cases of unsafe driving (RedLight, Speeding, etc) and actions that cause unsafe driving (Distracted Driving), but passenger seatbelts should be left to the discretion of the driver.

And all cases need to be independently investigated and vetted by a trained law-enforcement officer, without any obligation to reach quotas.

This is like robodebt all over again. The Queensland government states that "an authorised officer will review the image to determine if an offence has been committed". Clearly that isn't happening.
