Our team are building an open-source IP/SIP intercom + video surveillance platform (GPLv3). Core ideas No vendor lock-in: designed to work with SIP intercoms and CCTV that expose an open API. Modular setup: you can start small (a private house) and scale up to apartment buildings / residential complexes / districts / even a city. What you can build
Localization The project is currently localized for English, Russian, Kazakh, Uzbek, Bulgarian, Arabic, Armenian. Repositories
Who this might be useful for
Invitation You’re welcome to use this project for free to build your own ideas/products/solutions — and if you like it, I’d love to invite you to contribute (issues, PRs, docs, localization, testing with new SIP intercoms/cameras, integrations, packaging/deployment improvements, etc.). If you’re interested, I’d really appreciate:
Thanks! 🙌 |

I got into free and open source software to help preserve my privacy, so I'm pretty ambivalent about a FOSS surveillance platform. |

I would much rather a FOSS option, that is difficult to tap into. The other option is people using proprietary setups that can be data mined without the user's knowledge. Its a classic "perfect is the enemy of good" situation. |

Ah yes, the literal embodiment of "announcing the new OpenTormentNexus!". |

I get the concern 🙂 Making the platform open-source means the code can be audited, modified, or self-hosted instead of trusting proprietary black boxes. |

Fair point. Making it open source and self-hosted also means operators can control exactly what features they enable and how data is handled. |

LOFT Living customer service fits well for apartment communities because it gives residents a convenient way to handle everyday housing needs through a mobile app. I’d use it for things like community updates, resident communication, requests and other building-related tasks without having to manage everything separately. |
