The students, instead of helping the teacher, fled in cars and one of them ran over the teacher, killing them (The students did stop to give help and called emergency services). The student that killed the teacher was charged with homicide but the teacher's family wants the charges dropped stating that the teacher spent their lives teaching these children and don't want to ruin their lives with severe criminal charges.
