It's a trans person before they accept themselves as transgender. It's also impossible to really call someone an egg until they're no longer one, as no one but the person can determine their gender.

Might be possible if what they think "being men" means is off in some way. But what does it even mean to be man

To think of yourself as one and the effect of other people recognizing you as such. What exactly that means is up to the person, but men generally don't hate being what they are, with most of them enjoying it overall and some being pleasantly indifferent. If existing as a man is overall unpleasant and you would be way happier as another gender, you probably aren't a man.
