Gotham FC is taking over Queens on July 15. The reigning National Women’s Soccer League champions announced on Tuesday — St. Patrick’s Day — that they are hosting the Washington Spirit at Citi Field, in Queens, New York City, for a Wednesday evening tilt. The match has been dubbed the “Queen City Classic,” and will also air on ESPN. It is sponsored by CarMax, and will kick off at 8 p.m. ET. |

Gotham should be hosting Denver or Seattle, which are both Queen cities, rather than DC. |
