I watched a video that claimed trumps media campaign was a big factor in his 2nd win. Trump went on many podcasts which were blowing up as a popular media in 2025. The democrats went mostly on tv and stage appearances which isn't really meeting the media at the time. A lot of the tv stuff was scripted where people claim the podcasts weren't (i doubt there wasnt at least a loose script). The one podcast the dems did do was a sex centered podcast and most of the listeners probably didn't give a shit compared to the demographic listening to Joe Rogan and the likes. It was such a media blunder that in hindsight it almost seems intentional.

So if a fascist goes on podcasts, the empty-brained populace has no choice but to vote for him?

I think the dipshits who were gonna vote for trump were gonna vote for him no matter where he appeared. The voters are to blame. The voters are not 6-year-olds. The voters are all adults capable of reasoning and capable of bearing guilt.

I doubt it was the sole purpose he won but I'm sure it swayed new voters to his direction. I think its safe to say the media has an influence on how people think and react.

Trumps arteries need to harden and make it difficult for him to stay alive.

I personally favor Trump developing CJD. It is the perfect way for someone of Trump's caliber to depart this world.

• CJD can be somewhat slowed, for a short time. It cannot be stopped, or cured.
• Trump would experience a slow and painful decay until he finally dies.
• Medical equipment that makes contact with Trump would have to be burned afterwards to prevent spread.
• The breakdown Trump would have when he realizes how fucked he is and how there's jack shit he can do to stop what's coming would be beautiful.

On the other hand, Trump might be able to help the scientific community posthumously if they acquire his CJD-riddled brain.

Abandoning the remaining low-income and disabled Dems that are less likely to have documentation like that would be a strategically bad move. Not to mention, you currently have Fed that will happily to "Lose" your paperwork when you renew if they can correlate your face with their "Age Verification" data that identifies you as a Democrat.

What you say takes agency away from the voters. Voters have agency, responsibility and blame.

"The media has an influence" <- these statements, when repeated often, take the agency and responsibility away from the voters.

The voters voted, and are responsible for their votes.

What I'm saying is running a good media campaign influences public opinion and can help someone win elections. By going onto podcasts he was able to get his shitty views into more people's ears, and potential pitched alongside a host they already respect and trust. Strong media presences was also crucial for people like JFK and Hitler. Its nothing new the format is changing and democrats weren't keeping up with the format in terms of their media presence.

Trump wants to stay in power, by any means necessary, legal, ethical or otherwise. Usually otherwise. His main motivation for this is simply his massive ego.

Many different groups want to help him stay in power, so he can remain a useful idiot for them. Most of these groups just want the usual corruption stuff. They just want to use Trump to try and get rich. But some have more ideological goals: White supremacy, expanding the US empire and strengthening US global hegemony, neoliberalism/right wing libertarianism/anarcho capitalism, techno feudalism, White Christian nationalism, and others. Some, like China and Russia, want Trump to stay in power because they know he will continue to weaken the US, and they want to see the US weakened, if not eventually collapse (honestly, I'm fairly sympathetic to this one).

That, and I'm sure they will happily expedite passport processing in the "right" areas and the "right" demographics (probably put ICE agents on it), and have no, or very delayed, processing in the "wrong" areas and for the "wrong" people.
